Secure, timely and environmentally sensitive disposal of computer equipment is a major challenge for all organisations today. Unwanted or superseded equipment takes up valuable storage space. Decommissioning on site is costly and demands considerable human effort – posing a logistical challenge during major equipment upgrades. At the same time, there is usually value in your unwanted IT equipment – which you are unable to recover to offset the cost of future investment.

Most importantly, the leakage of corporate Intellectual Property when disposing of IT assets is a very real and significant concern – and an unacceptable risk.

EraseIT offers an industry-leading, end-to-end service to eliminate this risk.

Equipment Decommissioning

Just as it is critical to set up and configure an asset for use, it is vital that it is decommissioned appropriately both in order to eliminate risk and to ensure maximum return of investment.

EraseIT ensures just that; by providing a cost effective seamless process we ensure that an organisations assets are tracked through their decommissioning lifecycle. EraseIT has made a significant investment in the development of a proprietary Asset Management system which enables us to track in real-time the status and location of assets, placing them in quarantine until fully processed.

Once assets are decommissioned, and based on your requirements, they can be sanitized or released from quarantine as IT assets for purchasing or disposal according to ISO 14001 standards and government guidelines – or a combination of these options.

Secure Data Erasure

“When looking at PC disposal, environmental risks are only the tip of the iceberg. Increasingly, data security and privacy risks are foremost in mind when clients start looking to formalize PC disposal processes.”  Gartner, Inc.

An organisation’s data represents its greatest asset. When disposing of unwanted IT equipment, there is a significant risk that this data may fall into the wrong hands. Merely deleting data is usually insufficient – magnetic, optical and solid state media may retain recoverable data that could put your Intellectual Property at risk, potentially releasing your confidential information to competitors or damaging your brand and public reputation.

You can trust EraseIT to provide the highest level of security to effectively destroy any trace of decipherable data. Whether your assets are to be disposed of or remarketed.
